Underground performance space

This is someone's *basement* in Chevy Chase! A DC lawyer (and musician!) tore down his home a couple years ago, dug out the basement, hired some of the best lighting and performance space designers in town, and built an amazing home that included this stunning multi-purpose underground theater. This is what he says about it:

And as you know, creating a quality experience is what it is all about. That's what people want. That's what can nourish the soul. That's what the creative arts can provide. And in doing so, it can nourish the connections that people have with each other, thereby enhancing the overall human experience at many levels.

If you've ever read this blog or met me, you know that I completely concur. Few have the financial means to do what this man has done, but just about everyone can appreciate the power and paramount nature of the arts in our lives and everyone can experience creative expression regardless of personal resources.
