Mel Chin at the Arlington Arts Center

Mel Chin interviewed on Studio 360. He'll be giving a talk at the Arlington Arts Center next Tuesday. Check it out!

On Tuesday, March 24, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Mel Chin will be giving a free lecture at the Arlington Arts Center as part of the closing party for PUBLIC/PRIVATE, our current show juxtaposing art out in the world that requires the viewer’s direct physical participation with works about the artist’s immediate social or domestic sphere.

The AAC has also been selected as a collection point for Mel Chin’s FUNDRED dollar bills—which will be produced by students in local public K-12 schools. These Fundreds will be collected and exhibited at the center, along with documentation and video of the FUNDRED/PAYDIRT Project in action. The show will take up the AAC’s two Truland galleries, and will be on view April 17 – June 6, 2009.

More info about the Fundred project here.
