Flavor of the Month reviewed in Washington Post

Jessica Dawson's Washington Post review of Flavor of the Month, Cory Oberndorfer's show that recently opened at Flashpoint, is a great example of one of the many reasons why I love art: because it can engage people in a dialogue about social issues that are raised by the art.
Today we also call ourselves "girls." And even as we participate in brutal sports like roller derby, we dress in hot pants and fishnets. Could we be undermining ourselves as we make these great strides?
Art isn't just pretty pictures. What's great about it is that it can be a vehicle for expressing ideas that can stimulate lively discussions.
