Non-Places and empty spaces

Pretty great review in today's Washington Post of Trevor Young's show Non-Places at Flashpoint.

Now you see why I adore him so? (At the CuDC gala last weekend.)

Trevor's show reminds me of another exhibit about empty spaces that took place at the Centre Pompidou a few months ago.
But, as its curators point out, the notion of emptiness raises serious questions: What are the limits of an exhibition? Or in other words, what is the exact definition of the term? What role does the container — the museum or gallery — play? And what about the visitors — can they themselves constitute an “exhibition”? Moreover, the Centre Pompidou show raises a further point, namely, to what extent can one successfully re-create ephemeral happenings?
More info about it here.
