Flaneuring around Venice

On our first day in Venice, Veronica and I ambled aimlessly around the city and came upon workers loading three large statues onto a boat. Maybe we were just deliriously exhausted from the flight but the whole process mesmerized us so much so that we sat down at a nearby cafe to watch. I sipped a bellini and snapped photos while V fortified herself with coffee. We meandered back to our hotel, crossing over the Rialto just as the boat carrying the statues passed under.
