As an art historian and a knitter, I think this is a great example of how craft can progress with contemporary culture.
The guerrilla knitting movement has been ongoing for some years now, and has recently developed a bit of a following in Baltimore. I'd love to see it popping up around DC. Thanks for sharing this.
