NY in less than 24 hours

We went to NY during the Armory Art Fair a few weekends ago but didn't actually see any art, mainly because we spent less than 24 hours there! Immediately after landing and dropping off our little carry-ons at our lovely "off-Union Square" hotel, we ate boozy bluegrass brunch, then walked through Nolita so I could hit some of my favorite shops, then visited with Heather at 31Grand in LES, then hit three parties: Irvine's shindig at the Hotel Rivington where we got to hang out with Kerry Skarbakka and Oliver Vernon and Adam Stennett and Barnaby Whitfield (I heart these guys!) and many more fun arty folks, then Chris Tousimis' party at Elmo in Chelsea (his woodcuts are out of this world), and finally Lisa Stefanelli's studio party in Tribeca.

Had so much fun with Paula Kitten (see above) and John Dumbacher Cat that night! You should go see John's work in a group show at Civilian Art Projects called Craigslist before April 26.
